Hydroponics is gardening in nutrient water instead of soil. It grows more food and uses only 10% of the water of traditional gardening. But it's tough! Gnomebot makes it easy by helping growers remotely monitor and manage their plants.
Daniel Leake, founder of GnomeBOT, is a life-long maker and entrepreneur. At age 7, he released his first product: a garage-sized automatic apple slicer for his Mom. At age 18 he founded his first company which continues to operate today. Since then, he's been a student of our globe's food system as a farmhand in Kansas, food service director in corporate America, and backyard gardener. In 2015 he began helping gardeners grow smarter with automation tools. These efforts blossomed into GnomeBOT- an Internet of Things company that helps growers remotely monitor and manage their plants.
