I find myself combining a multitude of traditional copper/metalsmithing techniques. I strive to honor history with my work, by carrying on traditions that are becoming more unique, or even lost forms of art in our modern world.
I find myself combining a multitude of traditional and experimental methods of artistic techniques and mediums, such as metalsmithing, woodwork, decopage, collage, origami, and even historical restoration . Many of the techniques applied in my metal sculptures are truly ancient practices in metallurgy which have been used by generations of artisans and craftsmen for hundreds of years. My works have been described as ranging from classically antiquated , to modern and vibrant, sometimes within a single work of art.
